MEET MCRAE

I am currently a Junior at the University of Alabama, where I’m pursuing a bachelor’s degree in interior design. My passion for design was developed at a very young age. Growing up, I was always doing art around the house. From painting to DIY projects, I loved expressing my creativity in any way I could. Even today, I spend a lot of my time making art when I visit home. As I got older, the interior design world began to fascinate me. I found myself having a deeper appreciation for the aesthetics of spaces that I walked into. I knew I didn’t want to work as an artist, but I wanted to do something that required me to use my creativity constantly. That’s when I decided to study interior design.

The more I’ve studied, the more fascinated I become with the impact that interior design has on us. It is more than just creating beautiful rooms. It is curating a space that makes people feel good, function well, communicate effectively, and thrive. It is personal, full of variety, and constantly changing.
